Finished Mermaid 3M Course

I finally finished my Mermaid. The inspiration was Chagall. I used a 2x4 piece of plywood for this painting. It was somewhat hard to paint on as it just sucked up the water and paint.

Mermaid Practice

Something New

Purchased a book on drawing figures yesterday. Tried a pose I haven't tried before, not bad, need to practice. Starting a new painting on Monday, week 4 of M3 course will be a Mermaid on wood. I will be painting on piece of plywood and the size is 2x4'.

Week 3 Angel for M3 Course

I made so many sketches for this painting. After painting on a large canvas, I was really having a problem with the watercolor paper and the smaller size.

Tried Something New

I tried something new in this painting. Not going for the standard face colors. Did a color wash in blue, I like how it turned out. The hair needs work, but this was practice.
