I finally finished my Mermaid. The inspiration was Chagall. I used a 2x4 piece of plywood for this painting. It was somewhat hard to paint on as it just sucked up the water and paint.
Very nice! Next time you paint on wood seal it first with something like gesso or if you can find wood sealer in your local craft store that is good to. That will keep your paint from being sucked into the wood and youwil find it easier to paint on. Just a little tip from an old painter of wood. ;-)
